Welcome from the KG
Principal
Welcome! It gives me
great pleasure to welcome you to the KG Department at Dasman
Model School. I would like to take this opportunity to tell you a
little about myself. I am from Vancouver, Canada. Before being
appointed as the new KG/Elementary Principal, I was a teacher at Dasman
Model School. During the past five years I've met many wonderful
parents and students at our school. I am honored to represent
Dasman Model School and am proud of the learning environment that we
provide at the school. Our school truly provides the 'best of both
worlds.'
The Kindergarten Department at Dasman
Model School consists of 3 groups: Child Development Center
(CDC), Kindergarten 1 (KG 1), and Kindergarten 2 (KG 2). Throughout the Department the emphasis
is on purposeful play. The work is planned in themes and each
subject relates to the theme of the week. The work may be
teacher-directed, group-oriented or free choice activities.
Our KG classes have a qualified homeroom
teacher and assistant. Students receive instruction in English,
Mathematics, Science, Art, Social Skills, Music, Computer, and
Physical Education.
This year we are
using our website to disseminate information about our KG department.
Newsletters are published on the website on a monthly
basis. Please visit our website on a regular basis as it is updated
regularly.
