Welcome from the Superintendent

A warm welcome to the Dasman Model School website which will provide interesting background information and images of a vibrant and unusual school which opened in September 1996.  There simply is no other school like it in Kuwait or we believe in the Gulf for that matter.

What is it that makes Dasman Model School different and so unique? Quite simply Dasman offers three strands to learning making our school a leader in offering a bi lingual education which incorporates the best of modern practices and methods through an American program, in parallel with promoting the very fabric and traditions of Kuwait society. In addition, the word model was incorporated into the title as a symbol of integration for special needs students who require differentiation in the way they learn, alongside regular classes. Thus, as well as paving the way for students to graduate in the normal way with an American High School Diploma, Dasman through its Learning Support Units and Resource Inclusion programs assist those with a learning difficulty to achieve the same goal.  Equally, for those special needs students who do not intend to advance into further education the British EDEXCEL vocational strands are offered.

Through viewing the various divisions you will be aware of the excellent facilities this campus has to offer including two gymnasiums, two auditoriums, a large indoor swimming pool, an audio visual and media centre, as well as spacious playgrounds and gardens. The school encourages after school clubs and activities participating in interschool sports and arts competitions. 

A fully qualified and friendly multicultural staff works harmoniously together to promote the Arab concept  of the Dasman family, making this a truly memorable experience for any international educator. Strong school home links play a vital part in the school’s success and there is a very active PTA.
